Lockdown in the time of the pandemic, far from your lovers caress, but imagine a portal to another world, where the men are brooding and rippling with muscle, the women are cunning and costumed up to the nines, and…well…magic. Dragons, mermaids, gods, werewolves, swords and sorcery, spell craft, ancient bloodlines, magical objects…you name it, the fantasy romance genre can deliver it. And with new releases from big names, like Sarah J Maas, Jeffe Kennedy, and Jennifer Estep, there’s never been a better time to get into the genre.
Not only does the genre offer eye candy (mind candy…?), but it delivers action, adventure, and, most importantly in times like these, escapism. I don’t know about you, but the idea of filling my reading hours with anything depressing is an absolute no-go right now. I want happily ever afters, women saving the world, total annihilation of the exploitative bad guys, and all with a few kisses and some heart-wrenching tension along the way. Luckily, this isn’t too much to ask…enter fantasy romance.
Sounds good, but you’re not sure where to start? Well, luckily for you, FaRoFeb (Fantasy Romance February) is here to offer a helping hand (this Valentine’s month, no less). Every day in February, FaRoFeb are spotlighting a different fantasy romance author, and with some big names, like Jennifer L Armentrout, involved, you won’t want to miss it. But that’s not all! FaRoFeb have an action packed schedule, full of giveaways, a readathon, panel events, interviews, a workout session(!), original micro stories, and more.
